A primeira fabricante estrangeira de vinhos que aportou no Brasil foi a francesa G.R.Aubert da região do Drôme, onde produzia o conhecido Clairette de Die, um vin mousseux naturel. Ao que tudo indica problemas políticos do pós-guerra forçaram a transferência total de suas instalações para o país com base em indicações fornecidas pelo irmão marista Pacômio, de Garibaldi.

Aqui sob a denominação de Georges Aubert & Cia Ltda, iniciaram atividades em abril de 1950, produzindo espumante pelo método Charmat.

Em 1955, com a junção com a empresa Franco-Brasileira, de Jean Chauvein, trouxe uma revolução na produção de espumantes no Brasil, através da nova empresa vinícola, a Champagne Georges Aubert S/A.

Originária da famosa produtora italiana de vermutes que havia se instalado no Brasil em 1949, a Casa Vinícola De Lantier foi resultado de um processo que teve início com a instalação de uma unidade na cidade de Garibaldi (RS) para produzir vinhos espumantes, lançando o primeiro de 1974. A partir de então, lançou-se na formação de vinhedos próprios de viniferas, o que possibilitou o lançamento do vinho fino Baron De Lantier, em 1978, um corte de viníferas direcionado para consumidores mais exigentes.

A De Lantier com seu conceito europeu de elaborar vinhos cravou um dos mais importantes marcos da qualidade dos vinhos finos brasileiros.

The first foreign manufacturer of wine that arrived in Brazil was the G.R.Aubert the French region of Drôme, which was the producer of the famous Clairette de Die, vin mousseux naturel. In 1955, with the joint to the company The Franco-Brazilian, from Jean Chauvein, brought a revolution in the production of sparkling wines in Brazil, through the new winery company, Champagne Georges Aubert.

Originary from a famous Italian vermouth producer who had settled in Brazil in 1949, Casa De Lantier Winery was the result of a process that began with the installation of a unit in the town of Garibaldi (RS) to produce sparkling wines, introducing the first label in 1974. Since then, the company threw himself on the formation of vineyards of french grapes, which enabled the launch of fine wine Baron De Lantier, in 1978, a blend of vinifera grapes, directed to the most demanding consumers.

The Casa De Lantier with its concept of producing wines under European style spiked one of the most important landmarks of the quality of Brazilian wines.
